I hope you're all signed up for the upcoming 36th Annual CalChess State Scholastic Championships. It's the weekend of April 1-3 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. This is the biggest tournament in Northern California, and it's right in our backyard. Even if you can't make every day, you can request a "bye," or just drop in, to see how a major tournament is run.
